THE McLeod's Daughters Gawler set was sent into a spin on Monday as the show's publicity went into overdrive.
Journalists and TV reporters came from far and wide to interview producers and cast members before the set was closed to outsiders for the final day of shooting on Thursday.
Producers are keeping mum on how the long-running drama will end, but we're promised it will be in spectacular fashion.
Among those visiting Drover's Run was Today host Karl Stefanovic, who flew in from Sydney for only an hour to interview stars including Simmone Jade Mackinnon (both pictured).
He said he was a huge fan of the Outback drama.
"I was a closet fan, but then I outed myself on air," Stefanovic said. "So it's been great to come here to see the property." He said he had been saddened at the show's demise.
"When a TV show's been a part of your life and you look back on your last eight years – McLeod's has been there the whole way through it," he said. It's one of those barometers. "It's been a great series for Nine."
He said Mackinnon's Stevie was his favourite character.
The interviews will be shown later in the year when the final episode goes to air.
